I am cheating already because I took this photo on Saturday, but here is my first entry for Augustography. My mom, sister and I went to the MFA in Boston and checked out the Chihuly exhibit. It was fantastic (as usual). I’ll Flickr post a lot more pictures from this exhibit. This one is the only one I’ll include in Augustography.
The MFA is trying to get donations to keep this particular sculpture as a permanent installation. Good idea, MFA, because this sculpture is jaw droppingly awesome. Don’t be fooled by this macro photo–this sculpture goes from floor to ceiling like some kind of modern glass Christmas tree on steroids. You can watch a time lapse video of how it was installed here.
